HeadsTogether
are a group of musicians who enjoy performing
contemporary jazz. This six piece group
consists of a sax/clarinet front line and a rhythm section of piano,
double
bass and drums.
Their
repertoire is made up of arrangements of post war jazz
from Ellington to Parker, Miles Davis and others. There
are also some original arrangements kindly contributed by
various composers and arrangers known to the band.
The range of jazz music performed by HeadsTogether grows
continually.
HeadsTogether’s
debut was in January 2003 at the White Swan
in Greenwich. Since then they have
performed at various private and public
engagements including functions at the TUC in Central London, Conway halls and the band stand at Greenwich
Park.
The band have recently cut a
demo CD. They have some private gigs
booked for 2005 and are planning their performance on the
bandstand in Greenwich Park for August.
